jailbroken iphone no network

hi all please help im a newbie, i have got cydia on my phone and i have installed ultrasnow but now the phone is searching for network or it says no service, i have gone on the setting carrier and it says unable to load network list. please help!!!

version 5.0.1 (9a405)
says carrier orange uk 11.0
model mc131b
phone model no (on back of phone) a1303

Btw why did you install ultrasn0w if your phone didn't need it ?

i did this due to this thread, as even with cydia alone it still wasnt working!...
the phone is my sisters old one, she was on O2, i need orange. do i need to reinstall cydia? and can u recomend a package to use, i used snowbreeze 2.9.1.
