jailbreak issue?

hey guys! hope all is well! i took the advice on jailbreaking my iphone 4 on 5.0.1- 04.11.08
using redn0w, i did it, but now the cydia app is white and when i touch the app,
it just like glitches!
what can i do to fix this?
please help guys!

The Jailbreak for 5.0.1 is a tethered jailbreak. You need to clearly understand what this means. EVERY TIME you restart your device, including the fist time after jailbreak, you must use the redsn0w "just boot" option to perform the tethered boot. Otherwise Cydia and any other JB app you load will not work. Since you are using 5.0.1 you will ALSO have to first point redsn0w at the 5.0.0 firmware (not a typo) using the "Select IPSW" option from the extras menu.
