Jail breaking 3GS

Hi,

Wanting to jailbreak my iPhone 3GS but two questions first...

1. The iPhone was originally locked to the UK O2 network but has been unlocked for over a year now. Currently using Virgin. Will jail breaking reverse the unlock meaning that the phone will revert to being locked to the O2 network?

2. I'm new to this so which firmware/website link do I use? So many websites out there. Want it to be untethered.

1) That depends on what type of unlock is currently on the device. If it's unlocked using a software unlock like UltraSn0w, then yes, your unlock will be wiped but we can restore that. If it's unlocked using an IMEI or carrier unlock, then we don't have to worry about it as it's permanent.

2) You can use Evasi0n to untether jailbreak it. However, if your unlock is a software unlock, we may have to take a few extra steps to get it working the way you want it again.
