Itunes question when upgrading to iphone 4s

When the 4s arrives this week, is it as simple as connecting the new phone to the existing itunes account?

Will all applications transfer automatically?

If not, what is the easiest way to switch over to the new device?

Ok I don't know if you are fully aware but this Wednesday OS5 is launched, with which make it the best & smartest OS yet, so basically anyone who purchases any Apple device after 12th will be able to wireless sync there device without the need to plug into any computer & sit there to wait for it to do any updates or backups, as all your important stuff gets uploaded to icloud very soon, this will be the best so far
