iTunes 10.4 not seeing iPhone 4 after a reboot

iTunes works fine after installing, until I reboot Win 7. Thereafter it does not see my iPhone 4, unless I uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it. As long as I keep Win7 running (day and night) iTunes continues see the iPhone with no problems. Turn the computer off, or reboot Win 7, then I have to uninstall and re-install itunes to see the iPhone.

It seems as if a service of some kind does not run after a reboot.

Any suggestions ? (iTunes Ver 10.4.1.10 and Win7 Pro)

BTW, What are "tags" when adding a new thread ???
