Hi all

I have bought a new iphone model MC605B/A in the UK and after reading quite a lot of info on it, some say its factory unlocked cos its ending with B/A and some says even B/A cannot confirmed its unlocked and can well be carrier locked.

I know this phone orginally came from Vodafone but I do not know if its on a PAYG or Contract Tarriff so I do not know if its locked or unlocked.

I do not want to open it up in case its locked as its easier for me to sell on as a sealed unit.

Is there a way I can find out, with the IMEI number?

Thanks All

Unless it came from the UK apple store it will be locked. If you say it came from vodafone then it will be locked to them. Even the payg ones.

I think only apple can tell you for certian. I belive they use the IMEI no...

gaz is right, if it came from voda its locked to them regardless of if its paygo or contract

Thanks guys, i have now decided to get one for my network and sell this one i have as an new item

thanks all
