I have been looking everywhere, and I am wondering if it is possible to unlock my Verizon Iphone 4? Everything I am reading does not give any info on a CDMA network. I am selling my phone to friend who is moving to Europe!

Any help ??

Thanks

CDMA unlocks are often expensive since they're on a separate whitelist than GSM. It's cheaper to have an interposer or to have the carrier unlock it for a small or no fee

I don't believe there are many CDMA networks outside the US. Not sure on that fact, but I sell factory unlocked iPhones a lot to people who claim to ship them overseas because there are mainly GSM networks out of the US.

About 90% of the world's networks are GSM networks. The remaining would obviously be CDMA, but nonetheless, that 10% is still a fairly large amount of users worldwide. But if you want more flexible coverage, definitely a CDMA native iPhone would be best for Verizon since the GSM iPhone supports 3 bands less than the CDMA iPhones.

It all depends on the service his friend wants to use in Europe.
