Iphone & MMS

Hi im a newbie with an iphone..have tried to send MMS messages but noone ever recieves it..ive been through settings and cant figure out if there is something i should do..can somebody help on this one?
My iphone is a 3.1.3 version..
Also not sure if i can receive MMS..

I assume you've found the switch to turn MMS messaging on: Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging. Are you sure that MMS is included in your data package? You can test it by sending an MMS message to yourself.

I dont have that option on my phone.., if i go to messages i only have 2 option to put on or off, which is if i want to preview the message or if i want tthe warning signal to b repeted..nothing else : (

My fault. I failed to read that this was posted in the 3G/3GS forum. I was referring to the iPhone 4. Sorry about that. I'll have to let someone who knows the 3G answer your question. But it's still true that you can test it by sending yourself an MMS message.
