Mighty good news lovers of all knowledge! The non-profit educational organization TED has released an iPhone and iPod Touch version of its iPad app, which gives users the chance to browse and watch excerpts of TEDTalks videos up to 16 minutes in length. The iPhone app also offers an audio-only version of the talks for those who want some fresh information while travelling or out doing their morning run. And there’s a surprise in stored for you, the TED Radio, which can run in the background. Also new to the app is the Bookmark option, a feature requested by users, that allows to flag and save the interesting bits you don’t have time to watch. Just find the bookmark button, tap on it and access your Ted Talks from the My Talks tab.

Other popular features that were sported on the iPad and are now included on the phone app are:

The Browse + share: You want to be up to date to whatever is published on the TED website? No problem, just search the TED library by theme, tag or rating. Know the speakers name? Even better, you can search for him/her. Once you found your favorites, you can share them on Facebook, Twitter or better send them via email.

Discover new interesting stuff: The neat feat about this app it that it provides the users with an “Inspire Me” feat so you can tell the program what sort of video you want to see (like analytical, deep, witty). After you typed the query in, let the TED app build you a special custom playlist fit to your needs.
