iPhone battery life may be improved soon, because Apple has recognized this problem and planned to take an action for solving it.

Really? That will be awesome.

Can you fill us in on a few more details than that?

If you're looking for three days from a charge, might want to look at getting away from smartphones. The amount of connectivity will always come at a cost, the battery being it. Constantly searching for a 3G signal, watching for calendar, contact and email pushes, checking on internet items, watching movies, playing music. You absolutely won't see a 3 day battery life on today's smart phones unless you turn off ALL data and never touch any of those items.

I read somewhere that using wifi can dramatically reduce battery usage compared to 3G, does anyone know if this is true? Or is 3G better on your battery?

I have heard the opposite actually but the phone will waste your charge if you just leave it on while you are out and about as it keeps searching for it.

I use wifi and 3g 24/24h and my phone replace my computer in weekends on about 95%, tv, internet feeds, radio, browsing, mails, forum, videos, downloading, chat messengers, documentation editing word, excel, powerpoint, pdf, videos and photos editing, including gaming and i found my self having to recharge the phone every 4h after a full recharge and usages till 20%. at the opposite, when i use it wifi and 3g on, only for sms phone call and push notification mails, messengers, i go all the day with it, from 7am till 11pm and my battery life is at 34 or 27% before i plug it and go to bed.

Wifi is most definitely easier on the battery than 3G. Now, when this can hurt is when you're away from a known router, the phone is using 3G AND searching for more wifi routers. In short, turn off wifi if you aren't around a known router to help the battery some more.

Probably something in 4.3 but if my research serves me well, it seems that almost every OS update messed with battery life in a negative way.
