[FONT=&quot]9to5 Mac reports today on a new rumour that has surfaced about the iPhone 5, from Chinese website Sohu.com. According to a translation of one of the site’s news stories, the iPhone 5’s launch has been delayed because the A5 chip is overheating. Apparently the launch was pushed back from June/July to late August/early September, because Apple’s silicon team is having trouble keeping the A5 chip cool inside the iPhone 5’s small case. The report goes on to say that the overheating problem is still ongoing, forcing Apple to postpone the next iPhone’s launch even further, possibly into 2012. However, the report says that Apple does still intend to release the iPhone 4S shortly, which will apparently have a dual-core chip and “4G network” support . And as if Apple wasn’t already having enough woes with the A5 chip, Sohu.com says that it is already thinking ahead to the production of the A6 chip, for which it will be moving cross to a 28-nanometer manufacturing process.
