Iphone 4s - Cannot Slide Slider for Messenger

I am trying to enable my microphone for Facebook Messenger.

I go into Settings, Privacy, and then Microphone just like it was suggested.

Te slider to turn on the mic does not work. It won't even give a hint of sliding, even though the slider is there.

There are no other apps that require the usage of the mic.

Force close the Settings app, as well as Facebook Messenger, and try enabling thr microphone once more.
To force close, double tap the Home button to show the App Switcher, then slide the thumbnail towards the top of the screen.

If that doesn't work, remove Facebook Messenger from your iPhone, install it again, and try enabling the microphone again.
