Iphone 4 Jailbreaking/Unlocking infos

can someone knowledgable post up what version and firmware baseband can currently be jailbreak and unlock, and maybe sticky it, it will be very helpful for all of us noob

being that my iphone 4 is JB on 4.0.1 with jailbreakme.com and am having no problems. Can i rejailbreak to unlock? will that work without having to upgrade to 4.3.2?

If i'm reading that right, you shouldn't need to rejailbreak. If you are JB on 4.0.1, you should just be able to install ultrasn0w and be unlocked.

The only way you could have 4.0.1 firmware and not have an unlockable baseband would be if you have upgraded and then downgraded again with your shsh blobs cuz the baseband won't downgrade.

yes that is correct, How do i use untrasnow?? I get confused with all the hacks!!!
I thought ultrasnow was a JB?? I am on Baseband 01.59.00

how do i know its unocked and how do i check"? Everything loaded correctly

Just pop in a different sim and try it.

If you are on 1.59 baseband and have installed ultrasn0w, then you will be unlocked, you are one of the lucky few, make sure if you ever upgrade, do it with snowbreeze in baseband preservation mode.

Ill try and use my wifes sim. She has the same phone and baseband but doesnt want to me jailbreak and unlock hers. Im sure she will change her mind once we are out of the country and she wants to use her phone

im using an locked iphone with baseband 03.10.01 and verision 4.2.1..
can i jailbreak it without unlocking it?

hey guys, I'm a super noob and would like to unlock my iphone 4.

I'm on version 4.2.1 and base band 03.10.01

I downloaded f0rcast and it said my phone is unlockable is there a way around this? Should I upgrade to the 4.3.2?
