Iphone 4 headphones

Why are my headphones that came with my iPhone 4 so much quieter than my old beat up 4 year old iPod headphones?

Actually it's not my headphones, it's the phone itself. What's going on?! Why is everything so quiet all of a sudden with headphones in?!

I had the same problem, also the volume on the buds wouldn't work, i slightly pulled the plug from the jack, and it works great.

perhaps you might want to change the headphone with another iPhone 4 headphones and see if it makes any difference.

It was the phone. I already got a new phone and it's fine lol
