I just got a used iPhone 4 with iOS 4.0.2, but when I turned it on, it only shows the apple screen with the loading sign.

I tried to update via iTunes (it only allows me to download ios 4.3), but it didn't complete, when the download finished, I got an error message (didn't remember which) and the downloaded file got deleted.

My next step was to download a custom ios 5 ispw file, but I can't install it, I get the error 1600. Already used iReb to enter pwned DFU mode, but I'm still getting the 1600 error.

What else can I do???

change cables. change usb plug in ports, change computer, any of these are the simpile answer, itunes only allows you to download 4.3? itunes should be pulling 5.0.1 as your update/restore nothing less than that, custom ispw ? you mean the 5.0.1 file ? if so then when itunes sees it hold shift key and restore
