Iphone 4 - Apps won't show up after purchase from app store...but say "installed"

My iphone 4 won't install apps after the ios5 update. I purchase an app from the app store and it closes the app store as if it is about to install the app and then nothing happens. No icon...nothing. I go back into the app store and it says installed, but it is no where to be found on my phone.

Help please!

It would be a good idea to connect to PC, connect to iTunes then restore your Phone back to dates you had it running on iOS4 and then back to the app store, re-download the file, and hopefully you should have it fixed,
