iphone 3g? any good for starter

Hi there i have been offerd near enough awsome condition iphone 3G for my Blackberry Bold 9870. and wondering would if be worth doin as i like takin pictures on phone and socilizing on facebook and othere apps but miss touchscreen and just want to get into the iphone scene... Hi there! to be honest I would not go for the deal because the iphone 3G is old and really lags on its latest firmware and it will not receive any more updates and has now been forgotten by apple. If it was a 3GS then it might be worth it but even a 3GS is a 2 year old device.. if you take the 3G it wont perform very well, thats just imo though! Might be worth asking him to use it for a day and see if you like it first and are happy with how its working.
