If you ask me the immaturity meter is leaning his way, how about ignore the people asking for ETA instead of reply a "million times" LOL? Again don't reveal something the masses want and expect no questions or comments unless ofcourse you crave that attention.

So if you were the first person in the entire world to discover an exploit in the iOS firmware, you would just keep quiet about it so as not to be hounded by people asking for an ETA? I think it's safe to say that any of us would be excited to announce our discovery if we were in his position.

umm no? I would work on really hard to get a JB release and then announce it and gloat and have everyone bow at my feet. But we all know he wants to stand in the spot light before someone else does regardless.

I mean the guy "claims" to have found an exploit (kudos if he has I applaud him and he is a very smart person no doubt when it comes to what he does) BUT and a big BUTTTTT! He "claims" and displays his finding (cool) post on the WWW for the whole world to see (again cool) then gets a **** load of followers because every JB'er wants to be at the most recent release and be JB'ed ( again cool for him) then he acts like an Arsehat because apparently it is to much for him when kids/weirdos/cryers/lamers/trolls attack him with ETA questions and saying he faked the JB.

For sure I don't know if this guy has a JB or not but let's not raise him up on our shoulders that's just lame and being gullible.

Again if you go "PUBLIC" then you best be ready to take it all from praises to scrutiny, it's not a sea of roses out there and for someone to think that it is well... maybe in their make believe world.

+1000. I'm tired of all the sticking up around here for the poor overworked hackers that get asked for ETA's. If you're overworked then keep your mouth shut until you can get time to work on it and don't brag about a release you can't deliver any time soon. The reason they announce early is to get donations. But when I pay for something I need a "date of completion", an ETA. That's how the real world works. If you want my $, and I donate well, give me a date. It's as simple as that. The devs act a little narcissistic sometimes.

But in the end we owe them a lot. So it's a Catch 22. Damned if you do support (to wait until they WANT to work) and damned if you don't.

You are both misinformed..... first of all, it's a donation, you aren't paying for anything, you are DONATING, it is voluntary. He doesn't owe you anything if you donate to him, not even an ETA.

That being said, i0n1c has never once asked for donations, ever. So your point is moot either way.

Proof is only valid when it can be reproduced. And stating I am not going to release it raises allot of suspicions.

Again my complaint is that he came public with a finding and now complains himself about all the ETA questions. Arrogant and fame seeker, guess we will wait and see who releases the first untethered JB right? I know I got my money on someone else but I am pretty sure i0n1c will still claim he was the first.

Agree to disagree. Sorry. And this isn't an issue that one can be "informed" or "misinformed" about. We're talking perceptions; false ones given by devs. And the premature hype they create that feeds their egos. :-/
