If and when it becomes available to download, will you loose you current jail break and apps? Any clue to when we as the general public will be able to get it........

as with any ios update regardless of if its 4.XX firmware 4.0 4.0.2 or 5.0 when you upgrade you lose all jailbreak apps and jailbreak. but eventually as with all firmwares there will be a new jailbreak and the ios 5.0 beta has been jailbroken already but the only problem is that when you jailbreak again some of the jb apps dont work and oyu have to wait for them to get ported to the new firmware and some apps never get ported...

and for this reason some people never upgrade until there is a jailbreak and they know all the apps they use will work on that firmware

iOS 5 due "this fall". That's the latest from apple...

If Apple is going by the US definition of Fall, then it will be sometime between Sept and Nov. If they go by exact US dates and the Equinox, then it is between Sept 23 and Dec 22nd.

I believe it will be released with the iPod touch 5. Just my thought.
