Engadget has news today of more interesting discoveries found within the newly released iOS 5 beta 2. First up, it seems that Apple is using iOS 5 to close the hole that enabled Applenberry’s Gevey SIM to unlock any device running iOS 4.3 or iOS 5 beta 1 without jailbreaking. This news comes via a tweet from MuscleNerd, who also said that the redsn0w jailbreak still works on Beta 2.

Engadget also reports on another discovery about iOS 5 thrown up by the latest iOS 5 beta, namely the fact that users will be able to create and maintain photo albums via their iPhones and iPads. According to Engadget’s sources, the feature is still a little buggy (well it is a beta, after all!), as in the current version, photos that are added to new albums stay in the original album too, and then when you move an image from one album to the other and delete the original image, you actually lose both pictures! I’m sure they’ll sort that out before the official release though!

thats great, but apple have released the iphones unlocked in more and more countries so people really should not need to use unlock tools.
