??iOS 10's override of my photo albums

Can I get rid of the unwanted photo categories iOS 10 has forced upon us in our photo collections? I was able to pull my self-created albums back in, but they are at the bottom of the screen now, forcing me to scroll down to find them. I don't want my pictures categorized by location, date, or people. I just want them in the albums I created on my PC and synced to my iPhone. Any way I can turn those unwanted things off?

Welcome to iPhoneForums!

It's not possible to remove the albums automatically created by the iPhone. They are a new feature of the Photos app. Sorry!

One way to avoid a few of them, would be not to choose favorites, e.g., or not to hide images. People, Places, All Photos or Recently Deleted can't be removed, though.
