icloud keeps opening on desktop

Hi all,

I installed icloud on my PC about 5 weeks ago to sync with my iphone 5. It seems to work fine...except in the last few days the icloud program on my PC will open for no apparent reason. It seems to happen every couple of hours or so. I don't see any settings that would affect this odd behavior.

Is this happening to anyone else? Any ideas why?
