Those ThinkGeek folks really know what iOS gamers are looking for when it comes to retro gaming on their iPhones and iPads. Yes, the company that brought you the iCADE gaming cabinet for your iOS device has today launched its latest slice of retro gaming heaven, the iCADE 8-Bitty, at the 2012 Toy Fair in New York City. As you can see, the iCADE 8-Bitty is designed to look like a Nintendo NES controller. It is battery powered, and designed to wirelessly connect with your iOS device. Just as with the iCADE, the 8-Bitty features a fully functional directional game pad and eight buttons.

"We're excited to extend on the success of the original iCADE," said Ty Liotta, head of ThinkGeek's GeekLabs. "And with millions of iOS and Android devices in circulation it only makes sense to widen the field and bring the fun of iCADE to every possible device."

The controller supports the iCADE’s ever-growing list of top games, including the Atari Classics collection, Pac Man, Super Mega Worm, and many more. Check out ThinkGeek :: Redirecting, please hold your water. to find out about all the compatible games. Unfortunately for those of you already chomping at the, er, bit to get yourselves an 8-Bitty, it won’t be available until later in the year, when you can pick one up at ThinkGeek.com for $24.99.
