I phone deleting texts

My 6 day old I phone 4s started deleting all but three of my text messages a couple of days ago, and I had important information that I was saving in one of them. I can't find a way to program it to retain texts, and find it very frustrating. Other than that I love the phone after switching from an old Blackberry.

You should create regular back ups with I cloud. At least then a restore from the back ups should bring the messages back. I back up nearly every day
