I need help!!!!

I have an iphone 3gs that was jailbroken on 5.0.1 I believe. Stupid me I plugged the phone into the computer and went to update. Now the phone is stuck in recovery mode (itunes logo with the white connecting cord). I have searched for days and tried numerous things. I tried editing the host file. I have tried running Tinyumbrealla as well as other programs. Also, it is hard to get into dfu mode (i dont know if its even possible due to the state my phone is in now) due to half working buttons.

When I go into itunes to do a restore I get 3194 error. However I can run Tinyumbrella and get error 11 instead of 3194.

Is my phone done or is there hope? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create a DFU IPSW using RedSn0w. Put the device into DFU mode using the DFU IPSW and restore. 3194 is an incompatibility or host issue.
