I have lost my fotos....

I have a iphone4 ios 4.2.1 and it is jailbroken, if that makes any difference with my problem. I've transferred some photos from my old computer to my phone but when i synchronized it with my new one, i lost all of them but not the ones i shoot with my phone's cam! I didn't change the settings to manual and it synchronized the hole thing!
So, although i can't seem to find my transferred pics in the iphone, its capacity have not changed! If they are erased shouldn't my capacity Gigabytes changed too?
My question is, is there a possibility to recover them somehow? With a program or something?

Pics synced from a computer are stored on that computer. Once you sync w/ a different computer... the pics that were synced w/ the old computer will be gone from your phone. If you still have the old computer... they should still be on that HD.

I don't have my old PC.the hard disk is off?Can I extract the fotos from my old back up???
