how to update iphone 3gs ios 3.1

hi,
i have a iphone 3gs with ios 3.1 iboot 359.3 and i dont have any signatures.
i have tried to use tinyumbrella but it says that it is too late dont have any shsh.
i have tried to upgrade it with redsn0w and sn0wbreez i have tried to upgrade it without it, nothing worked.
does anyone one have an idea how to upgrate it to 4.1.1 or 5.1.1 ???

Without SHSHs.... your only option is to do update to iOS 6.0. As that is the only iOS version being signed by Apple at this time, for newer iDevices. The only acception is iOS 4.2.1... it has an open signing window from what I understand. Just not certain if it applies to the 3GS or not.

Are you saying, here, that you've tried restoring via iTunes and that wouldn't work either?
