How to print copy of text messages

I need to print paper copies of text messages for building contractor records. How can I do this in a cost effective way? Thanks!

I believe this will work...

Open up the messages you want to be printed, select edit, select all of the ones you want, then push forward, then forward them to your email address and print from a computer.

I tried the forward but when I put my email I got a text instead
