How do you get the main screen out of portrait mode?

I'm tying to get the icons on the screen of my iPhone 7P to go into landscape mode when I tilt the phone sideways.

The only setting I can find is the "Portrait Orientation Lock Off" button on the menu that slides up from the bottom of the screen. Turning this off allows apps to rotate with the phone, but not the main screen.

I have a picture I got off the web of an iPhone 7 screen in landscape mode... (See below).. How is this done?

The homescreen will rotate when you select Standard in Settings - Display & Brightness - View. If Zoomed is set up there, the homescreen won't rotate.

Wow.. That one is NOT intuitive or apparent!

I went through all the settings when I got the phone yesterday and did notice that the screen is 'zoomed' by default in the display and brightness category, but never thought much of it.

It's working now. Thanks for the quick reply!!
