How do I download photos to PC?

Hi all.

I have a number of photos on my iPhone 3GS and would like to transfer/download them to my Window 7 Ultimate PC.

Would someone please be able to give me steps as to how can achieve this task.

I tried to to do this from iTunes, but I can not even the the photos to display anywhere in iTunes, if that is at all possible.

Connect your pc up to your phone, let it auto install the software ( iTunes might open, just close it )
Find the iPhone in my computer ( PC ) click on iPhone and you should see something like 3 folders, cannot check my pc as it's being used , your pictures will be in there, copy or drag into folders

I guess I should have been a bit more patient and waited for the device to load and display. Thanks for that.
