Help needed.. Ihpone 3gs stuck at apple logo screen :(

Hi evrybody.. Please help me out with this.
I have iphone 3gs and it is stuck at the apple logo screen. I tried it to forced shut down and then connect with itunes.
Well i succeded in that.. While i was trying to restore my device to ios 4.1 and it was downloading it. While it was half way downloaded it showed a system eror that "operation timed out"..... I some how managged the ios 4.1... But i am not able to get it installed manually.....
What should i do?

Try putting it into DFU mode and hook it up to the computer and itune, this may fix your issue and if not leave it hooked up and try a hard reset buy holding down the sleep and home buttons until you see the apple show up and let it go.
