Help,my iphone 5 won't connect to the Internet

You can use the charging cable to sync with iTunes, WiFi is an option, but not necessary.

yes i just thought about that,i may give it a go later,all else is failing,just can't understand it.

Do you still have the free telephone technical support? You could call and see what the techs say.

i've tried ringing tech support at Apple and they're closed,my support ran out but at this stage i would pay the £70+ to get it sorted.

it says cant backup,an unknown error has occurred,cant believe this!

i think most stuff is backed up in icloud but without wifi i cant do that

If you have an iCloud backup set up for daily backups, you can restore through iTunes and set everything back up via icloud once your done.

Have you tried DFU mode?

So, iTunes recognizes your iPhone, but fails to restore it? Is there a number in the error message?

ok,update.....it wouldn't restore in iTunes,just kept getting error messages,as soon as i dismissed the error message the restore stopped,iphone tech support opened up and we went through a full restore,seems it was some sort of bug in the software,couldn't even get it to forget the network....anyway all is good now,i'm connected again and i have full support now should i need it again,thanks guys for trying to help

you're not kidding,iMessage wasn't working on all devices either,it was one thing after another.
