Apple has released iOS 7.1.1 which patches a remaining vulnerability used on Evasi0n7. With that vulnerability patched, it will be more difficult to jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 as opposed to 7.1 assuming there are no "alternatives" at hand. This, however, DOES NOT mean that a 7.1/7.1.1 jailbreak will be released any time soon for A5+ devices.

7.1.1 will not be jailbroken for A5+ devices. The next untethered jailbreak will most likely be with the release of iOS 8 unless Apple discovers @ih8sn0w's iboot exploit (or if it gets leaked). Or, if the recently discovered simple number random generator can be used as a lower level exploit, or, to find a lower level exploit among other exploits/vulnerabilities necessary.
