Hi all,

I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy SIII and am trying to sync my iPhone to it via the 'App Sync' application.

The problem I have encountered, however, is that my most recent backup displays on iTunes via the 'Edit - Preferences - Devices' toolbar, but it does not display it in the backup folder in the following location:

\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

I have changed my laptop's settings to view all hidden files and manually searched for the backup and I have had no luck in finding it, despite the fact I know it is there as iTunes displays it.

Has any body encountered this before or does anybody have any suggestions on how I can locate the file?

I can't simply create a new backup from my iPhone as I no longer have the phone.

Many thanks in advance.

go to itunes,preferences, devices. if there is no backup there then it does not exist.

The backup displays when I go to the Preferences - Devices menu.

However, when I go to the folder where it should be saved, it isn't there.

You arent looking in the correct folder than.

[h=3]iTunes backup location[/h]
  • Windows XP: %HOMEPATH%\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\{UDID}
  • Windows Vista/7/8: %HOMEPATH%\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\{UDID}
  • OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/{UDID}
