Popular gyroscope-controlled music app Gyro Air Drums has made it as one of the Top 5 nominees in the Music category for the Best App Ever Awards. The drumming app for the iPhone 4 was also recently featured by Apple in its 2010 iTunes Rewind Hot Trends in Apps chart, having been selected by Apple staff from over 100,000 possible apps.

The Best App Ever Awards were started in 2008 to honour the best iOS apps, not just the best selling. The winners will be announced at the Macworld Expo 2011.
