After a big problem with my iPhone l had the screen with the cable and iTunes logo in the middle.
Now it's on 11.4.1
The location for maps is greyed out I need it today.
The iPad still functions though. It's my fault the last back up l did was in March. Oops

Has the app been updated since you had to use recovery mode?

Yes lt sure has along with many others

Restart your iPhone, and if that doesn’t help, remove the app from your device and reinstall it. You might have to do that in Settings - General - iPhone Storage - Google Maps - Delete App.

Hi problem solved, thanks to you. Had to use the iPad last night.
Kept stopping to check were l was. Hoping that after 43 App updates l would have no probs.
Sorted now thanks to you. The only problem I have with iOS 11 is it burning my battery faster, but it old.
Maybe time for a new one.
