The latest intel from the folks at Google suggests they are working on offering added compatibility with some of their new devices to iOS users. Google will supposedly release an Android Wear app on the App Store for iPhone and iPad.

This would mean that folks could pair an Android Wear device, like a Moto 360 or LG Urbane smartwatch to their existing iPhone to get notifications and other features. The report claims that Android Wear with extended iOS support will likely get announced at Google's I/O developer conference in May.

This is obviously a move by Google to entice customers into trying Android Wear watches with iOS. This could be useful for those folks who prefer a different styling than that offered by the Apple Watch. Either way, if this intel is accurate, it's a smart move by Google to create cross-platform compatibility for their wearable devices.
