Hi,
I have my old iPhone 5s where the screen stopped functioning (display is on but doesnt react to touch) and I have some content there, which I would like to move to my iPhone XS.

My first question is: What is the best way to get to the phone? Do I need to buy some wired lighting keyboard to unlock it?

And my second question is: How can I merge the content with my current iPhone. Meaning, that I would like to have all the pictures from the phone to be moved at the beggining of my current library (sort by date) and the same with messages and others. Basically, merge the conent with my current conent.

Thank you very much for any advice.

Welcome to iPhone Forums, Lukas!

Please answer a few questions first:
- Do you use the same iCloud ID (Apple ID) on both devices? If so: do you sync messages, contacts, ... via iCloud?
- Was there something like iCloud Photo Library or PhotoStream enabled on your older iPhone?
- Did you backup your iPhone before the screen stopped working?

I assume you‘ve already started using the iPhone XS, and there‘s already some content saved to it.
