Friend Request won't go away

I did a search but came up empty for this issue. I just got my first iPhone on Tuesday and when I installed the Facebook app, there was a friend request notification. I go to the request page and there is nothing. The red icon won't go away. I've checked my profile from a PC and there is no request. Any ideas?

This is a goofy glitch w/ the Facebook for iPhone app. Log into Facebook Mobile via Safari & clear it out. Then it'll clear out of the app.

Nope...still shows a notification while the friend request page is empty.

Only other thing I can think of is to delete the app... then reinstall it.

To clear out this icon... Log into your Facebook account using an Internet application (eg. safari) and review you hidden requests. One these are all cleared, the icon in you app will be gone.

That was it! I cleared out all the hidden requests and now it's gone. Wonder why you can't do that in the app??
