Hi. I want to make a backup and restore via ITunes. It is an IPhone 5 running IOS 7.1.1. I don't use passcode on my phone, and I have forgotten what the code was like. Do I need the code to make this backup/restore? And if I do, is there any way I can get this code back?

If you don't use a passcode, you don't have to set it up for restoring or backing up. A passcode that was once used, but isn't any more, doesn't matter.
