If you're asking if the password option to unlock your iPhone can be disabled, the answer is no. The password is also required for certain important functions, such as, adding or deleting fingerprints, when the phone has not been unlocked for 48 hours. Also, what would you do if the fingerprint sensor did not recognize your fingerprint and there was no option to use a password?

When using the TouchID the phone is entering the password for you. You can verify this is how the sensor works by swiping to unlock and then instead of entering the password touch your finger to the sensor. You will see the phone will enter the password and unlock.
