EA’s long-awaited FIFA Soccer 11 has finally hit App Stores worldwide, with stunning new visuals optimised to make the most of the iPhone 4’s Retina display. The legendary soccer franchise features over 30 officially licensed leagues, 35 authentic stadiums, 500 licensed teams and more than 15, 000 players from around the world, including all of the world’s best players, enabling gamers to play with their favourite superstars, including Real Madrid’s Kaka.

This latest FIFA instalment has new dual control options, providing gameplay sophistication for veterans and simplicity for casual players. Dedicated FIFA fans will appreciate the unprecedented ball-control and fluid animations, with 360° player movement and gesture-driven skill moves that they can use to split their opponent’s defence with a killer pass, as well as execute penalty kicks and pro-style tricks. There are two modes for gamers to choose from: they can either play as their favourite team and battle through the entire league, or go for the tournament knockout mode.

Here’s Travis Boatman, cool-named vice president of Worldwide Studios for EA Mobile, talking about the game:
“With FIFA Soccer 11 for iPod touch and iPhone, we have tapped into what makes this game so universally loved delivering an engaging and genuine soccer experience for fans and casual players alike. With the latest release of FIFA, we’ve unlocked the horsepower of these new devices, stepped forward the expectation of what can be achieved and delivered the best footy experience out there.”

Soccer fans can download the game here for $4.99/£2.99.
