Only for 3G if memory serves.

I think it might be able to use Verizon's 4G to a certain extent. It's just whether or not it'll match the Verizon stock ones. I personally haven't had much contact and tinkering with a 5 yet, so I'm not certain there's a clear difference between the GSM and Global version, but there are more bands supported on the Global (guess we can call it CDMA?) than GSM, but it shouldn't be able to run as efficiently as a "CDMA" 5 on a Verizon network since it's only limited to 2 LTE bands (4 and 17) and the "CDMA" 5 has 5 bands (1, 3, 5, 13, 25)

But there're 2 versions of the "Global" iPhone 5, model A1429, and the LTE bands on the GSM is 1, 3, 5 and the CDMA is 1, 3, 5, 13, 25, so on most frequencies, it should be fine, but selectively it won't be as effective as a CDMA devoted iPhone.

I'll ask around with the carrier guys at work since I'm more of a software and kinda-hardware guy.
