Facebook not updating

Ever since the new Facebook came out, my Facebook app doesn't update automatically when I open it. I have to manually update the status by sliding down on the screen. Anyone else experience this?

I think mine is doing the same, hard to tell since the Facebook app has been complete crap for awhile now.
