We have an interesting exclusive for you folks today from MWC. The NFC-technology has been an integrated part of mobile phones for a while now in some areas. And, it looks like it may soon be Apple's time. However, it seems that they aren’t quite ready to include the technology into their phones' development. So, it comes to the case manufacturers to integrate this technology in their products.

Considering the fact that iPhone 4 and 4S versions have exactly the same dimensions, if you build a case with an NFC-chip and an NFC-antenna integrated, you are good to go. The guys down at NXP Semiconductors just developed a demo of a case and presented it at CES 2012. All you need now is the case, an app and your iPhone. NXP also got their case up and running at MWC to show just how much it would benefit the iPhone, but they will have to wait for Apple clearance to take it to mass-production.

Given the fact that the demonstration down at MWC was a total success, except that you need to have an app running when you wave your phone near an NFC-tag, its not a surprise that this case is already available for sale as the guys down at Moneto have made a Google Wallet-esque payment gateway using their NFC chip in an SDCard. Also, just like the native NFC phones, you can still write tags and have them execute commands. Unfortunately for the moment, it just offers a payment method for iPhone and Android phones that use Moneto, but what a huge start this is.

We saw some interesting and good looking NFC Cases at MWC, here are several pics of one of them below.
