On Tuesday, a report published by Dutch publication iCulture.nl claims that our favorite fruit company may have gotten another acquisition. iCulture cites "knowledgeable sources" have told the publication that Apple has acquired Prss for an undisclosed amount.

Prss was a tool which allow anyone to create a magazine for iOS Newsstand, without the need of programming skills. Prss made it easy to drag and drop items to create magazine pages, only charging 5 cents per download as well. Prss was launched in October 2013 at The Next Web Conference, but then later mysteriously discontinued in July 2014.

After some snooping around, several Prss employees now work at Apple and have moved to San Francisco. Founder of Prss Michel Elings formerly tweeted that he was going to move to Palo Alto, California, and his LinkedIn profile shows he currently works there.

Although there is no word has come from Apple, the company could be waiting until the iPad conference in October to show off a revamped version of Prss with an update to iTunes Author. Take this one with a pinch of salt but the facts above show a possible acquisition.
