The original Draw Something game is one of the most successful iOS games ever, and no surprise about that, really, as it’s loads of fun to play, even if you’re rubbish at drawing! Now the inevitable has happened, of course, and a sequel has arrived in the App Store, and you have to say from looking at the video, Zynga has made some major changes to the successful formula. As The Verge reports, the sequel has already been released in Canada and Sweden for a few weeks, but now it’s the turn of the US to get to play. Some of the key additions to the game are 5,000 new words, more drawing tools, a gallery of your favourite drawings, and a free-draw mode. Basically, you now have a lot more scope to perfect your drawings, with new tools such as stamps, brushes and markers. A social element has also now been added, meaning that you can also share your drawings in a feed, or follow friends and celebrities, a bit like Instagram. You can also disable the social function, should you prefer.

Draw Something 2, the follow up to the widely popular Draw Something from developer OMGPOP, is now available in the US App Store. The Pictionary style gaming app for iOS uses a similar turn- based mechanic as other popular social games like Zynga’s Words With Friends, and prompted Zynga to purchase OMGPOP last year. Players are presented with a choice of words they must represent via their own artwork with the objective of having their friend guessing the same.
