Download over desktop and then install possible?

I have been trying to download a app for my iphone4 that is over 1gb. It seems to download for about a hour, and then it crashes and I have to start all over again. Is there an app that will see how much was downloaded and start at that point? Or is there a way to download it through my desktop pc and then install that to my iphone?

iTunes will solve that issue for you. Download the app in it, then sync to your device.

^ My buddy showed me the program called iFunBox. It allows you to open up your iPhone and transfer files into it from your computer.
