Does the 4S have HDMI playback ?

I was wondering if the 4S or even the 4 in that matter have HDMI playback capability's or do you have to buy something other then the adapter that you would have to by for all phones ? I am asking for a buddy and I am sure Apple would have this but just wanted to make sure.

all you need is the adapter then a standard HDMI cable ..

it works with the iphone 4, iphone 4s, 4th gen ipod touch, ipad 1, and ipad 2.
