Do I need to update to the latest version of Redsn0w?

I did the redsn0w 0.9.1.10b1 jailbreak as soon as it was released. I noticed that a newer version is out now. Should I re-jailbreak my phone with the newer version? I'm on IOS 5.0.1.

Are you experiencing issues with your iOS or major issues with cydia? if no, then there is no point rejailbreaking your iOS.

For some reason, the Cydia app completely disappeared, as well as all the apps I downloaded from Cydia. So I thought maybe I should update.

ok... do a clean factory restore via iTunes, then jailbreak using the latest tool. Do remember to backup your files in iTunes prior the factory restore.

I was in the same position and it seemed cydia was really slow on b1 so I re-jailbroke with b3.

Yup b3 worked way better for me too

b1 has issues with launchctl and mobilesubstrate. Do a fresh restore of 5.0.1 and jailbreak with b3.

Ok, thanks guys. I'll loose all my settings after the factory restore, won't I? I guess I'll have to re-configure everything again...

...or can I do a "Restore from Backup" after re-jailbreaking? I was reading how that sometimes can cause issues.
